Courtney
It was my senior year at NYU and I was struggling with stress and anxiety. I didn't quite know what to expect, but I signed up for yoga as an elective hoping it would offer something, anything, to help me calm my mind. What I received from the practice was so much more! I was hooked! Yoga continues to help me heal all aspects of my being. I teach because I know personally what this practice can offer and I love being able to witness others become addicted to the gifts of yoga. I am 500hr certified and I believe the practice is fullest when we engage our body, mind, and spirit leaving no stone unturned as we move closer to our best selves.
HOMETOWN: Houston, TX y'all!
FAVORITE SONG/ARTIST: Good Morning Heartache by Billie Holiday AND Didn't Cha Know by Erykah Badu AND If 6 Were 9 by Jimi Hendrix
ODD FACT: I don't like chocolate or strawberries or anything sweet really
MY STEEZ: I will always lead class with an intention offering a spiritual or mental element to the asana. As we move the postures help elevate the teachings "yoking" everything together. I will always mention the heart. I will probably curse. I will make a bad joke. My classes are soulful, mindful, with creative flows and silly antics to challenge and comfort the yogi from the inside out.
