In Ayurveda (Yoga's sister science) we have 3 seasons. You have the doshas within you, your environment, the seasons, your time of day.
Kapha is ruled by earth and water. Think supple, juicy, and unctuous tropical environments. 6-10 AM and PM is Kapha time. Late winter and early spring is Kapha season. The foundational building blocks of the year ahead but lacking in some air and fire. Kapha season and Kapha constitution can leave us feeling really muddy if we aren't mindful.
It's up to us to bring movement and fire into the season, into our mornings, maybe into our Kapha constitution to balance out the potential muddiness. Kapha is perfect for FIT, FLOW, SWEAT, and SCULPT just make sure to rest and not burn out.
Movement is medicine with Kapha! Get the ball rolling with short bursts of energy, fast flows, heart openers, and cardio. Thaw out and be the source of heat in this melty season. Take your time, don't rush towards the heat.
